Support Group Meetings Aid in Recovery Methodist Rehabilitation Center encourages patients and their families to participate in support groups that focus on their illness or injury. Support from others in similar situations greatly benefits patients recovering from neurological or othopedic diseases or disorders. These groups frequently meet at our main campus in Jackson or at east campus in Flowood.
Spinal Cord Injury Support Group
The SCI support group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. in the BankPlus Conference Center on the second floor of Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson. This support group is open to all spinal cord injury survivors, their families and caregivers. For more information, call Merry Claire or Jennifer at 601-936-8889.
Stroke Support Group
A stroke support group meets the first Thursday of each month at 3 p.m. in the cafeteria at Methodist Specialty Care Center in Flowood. This support group is open to all stroke survivors and their families. There will not be a meeting in January, 2008. For more information, call 601-364-3550.
Amputee Support Group
An amputee support group meets quarterly on the first Tuesday of March, June, September and December at 3 p.m. in the cafeteria at Methodist Specialty Care Center in Flowood.
