Methodist Rehabilitation Center facility manager named to International Fire Code Committee

JACKSON, Miss.—Dennis Cagle, facility manager at Methodist Rehabilitation Center, has been appointed by the board of directors of the International Code Council to a one-year term on the International Fire Code Committee.
IFC members are responsible for providing leadership and direction on matters of fire and life safety to meet government, industry and public needs. The board of 16 from around the U.S. makes recommendations on fire codes throughout the world.
Cagle has worked at Methodist Rehab for 21 years and in 2000 was named a certified health care facility manager by the American Hospital Association. He is a lifelong Jackson resident.
“I’ve always been interested in why things are built and done the way they are,” Cagle said. “In learning the answers, I’ve always wanted to be able to be a part of something to help make the system better.
“It’s a big deal for me and I’m excited to be doing this.”
