Two men struggle with Guillain-Barre' Syndrome
The neurological disorder is rare, affecting only one to two people per 100,000. So they were surprised to learn they were among six patients recovering from the rare disease at Methodist Rehabilitation Center at the same time.


Leon Grigoryev, M.D.
Leon M. Grigoryev, M.D., a board certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician, offers a multidisciplinary approach to help people recover from painful and disabling conditions such as neck, shoulder and back pain, joint pain and arthritis, sprains and strains carpal tunnel syndrome, sports-related injuries, complex regional pain syndrome, fibromyalgia and the after-effects of joint-replacement surgery or fractures and other trauma.

Dr. Grigoryev graduated from Medical Institute in Riga, Latvia and finished his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York University and the Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. He underwent fellowship training in the rehabilitation of acute spinal cord injuries at the University of Michigan.
