Mark Bowden, therapy manager of the spinal cord injury program at Methodist Rehabilitation Center, has been named clinical services employee of the quarter at the Jackson Hospital.

JACKSON, Miss.–Mark Bowden, therapy manager of the spinal cord injury program at Methodist Rehabilitation Center, has been named clinical services employee of the quarter at the Jackson Hospital.

Bowden, a Ridgeland resident and a native of Salisbury, N.C., has worked for five years at Methodist Rehab. He holds a master’s degree in physical therapy from Duke University.

Bowden said he attended the awards ceremony thinking one of his fellow therapists had been given the honor. “It was very humbling when they said my name,” he said. “With all the great employees we have here at the hospital, it is a great honor to be rewarded like this.”

Along with the award, Bowden is now eligible to become Methodist Rehab’s employee of the year, selected from among the employees of the quarter.

Bowden’s leadership and ability to work well with others lead to his nomination, said Ellen Lee, director of the spinal cord injury program. “Mark has a great sense of humor and is great to work with,” she said. “He’s always dependable and committed to our patients and the work we’re doing.”
